Parent Coordinator/Facilitator

Divorce is challenging for the whole family. With the right support, divorced parents can create un plan saludable para compartir la paternidad that focuses on the best interests of their children. At Cannenta Center, our Parent Coordinator/Facilitator (PC/PF) services provide a neutral third-party to guide parents through high-conflict situations and help them reach positive resolutions.

The role of the PC/PF is to reduce tension and help parents communicate and cooperate more effectively. Our approach includes:

  • Education: Teaching parents tools to better understand their roles and responsibilities in co-parenting.

  • Coaching: Offering personalized guidance to reduce conflict and improve communication.

  • Participation: Actively engaging with families throughout the co-parenting process.

Please note that PC/PF services are typically court-ordered and are not provided in a therapeutic capacity. Our services comply with Texas Family Code sections 153.605 and 153.610.

Latinx Parenting Classes

"“Porque yo digo.” “Porque yo mando.” “Voy por la chancla!” These are familiar phrases in many Latino households. Unfortunately, many parents and grandparents were raised in survival mode, focusing on tough parenting strategies out of necessity. These methods, while understandable, often relied on aggression or emotional suppression.

At Cannenta Center, we offer Latinx Parenting Classes designed to replace these traditional approaches with técnicas positivas de crianza basadas en fortalezas culturales. Our training helps reconnect parents with their inner child and teaches them to communicate emotional regulation to their children in healthy ways. We draw from cultural values to create an approach that feels familiar, yet forward-thinking.

This class is offered in both English and Spanish and is a safe space for parents to explore new tools, learn from others, and grow.

Aprender de los demás y crecer.
