Jasmin Mendoza is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who has earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). Bilingual in both Spanish and English, Jasmin is deeply dedicated to providing support to individuals and families as they navigate various complex life challenges that may arise. She is particularly skilled in building strong client relationships and offering trauma-informed care. Additionally, she holds a certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the prestigious Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), further enhancing her ability to assist those in need.

In her role as a Success Coach at the International Rescue Committee from January 2024 to August 2024, Jasmin worked closely with a diverse group of refugee and immigrant clients. She provided essential social-emotional interventions aimed at fostering resilience and well-being, while also helping clients to effectively overcome various communication barriers by utilizing professional interpreters. Her responsibilities included conducting regular client visits, creating and distributing vital educational resources tailored to their needs, participating actively in workshops, maintaining meticulous records of client progress and interactions, and advocating for increased community awareness around the various available support services that could benefit her clients.

Prior to that notable experience, Jasmin served as a dedicated Family & Student Case Worker at the Greater East Texas Community Action Program (GETCAP) Head Start from December 2022 to May 2023. In this role, she proactively engaged with both families and children, conducting thorough home visits to assess their individual needs, while also connecting these families with the most appropriate services available to them. Her work responsibilities included maintaining comprehensive family data, conducting important research, and fostering strong, supportive relationships with the Head Start participants to ensure a positive impact on their lives.
