Federico Mendez, LMFT

Federico Mendez, a bilingual (Spanish/English) relationship therapist, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Addiction Studies from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and a Master of Science in Family Therapy from Texas Wesleyan University. He is currently studying for his PhD at Texas Women's University in marriage and family therapy.
Federico trained in Levels I-III Gottman Couples Therapy and completed an externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. He is currently undergoing training in Sex Therapy to become a Certified Sex Therapist through the Buehler Institute.
He has a theoretical foundation in Bowen Family Systems Theory, Emotionality Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Couples Method Therapy to tailor treatment to meet your specific needs by providing you with evidence-based tools to better manage your relationship frustrations.
Together, you and Federico will work together to develop a treatment plan that works best for you. He will equip you with tools that he has perfected throughout his career as a relationship therapist.
Federico's area of specialty is in working with individuals and families who are LGBTQAI2S+, couples/families, and polyamorous/non-traditional.
