Amy Jackson
Chief of Staff
Amy Jackson’s career in social work is rooted in her passion for advocating for vulnerable populations and her commitment to creating healing spaces. With a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, Amy is now pursuing her Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) degree at the University of Texas at Arlington. Her journey reflects her dedication to delivering culturally sensitive services that empower individuals and families.
Amy’s transformative experience as an intern at the HHM Health Clinic deepened her connection to Cannenta and its mission. In her words, "Cannenta has accepted me with open arms, and I plan to do the same." As Cannenta’s Chief of Staff, Amy is instrumental in driving the organization’s mission to break down cultural, financial, and language barriers to mental wellness, particularly within the Hispanic community.
Prior to her role at Cannenta, Amy served as a Forensic Interviewer at Child Advocates of Navarro County. In this role, she conducted legally sound and developmentally appropriate forensic interviews, participated in multidisciplinary team (MDT) case reviews, and provided neutral, fact-finding support to child abuse investigations. She was also trained in crisis intervention and provided family advocacy, helping families navigate the challenges of recovery.
Outside of work, Amy is a devoted family member who enjoys spending time with loved ones and her two fur-babies. A true crime enthusiast, she spends her free time exploring podcasts, documentaries, and books in the genre, always eager to learn more.
